Horoya AC's midfielder, Morlaye Sylla, speaks about the crucial match against Kaizer Chiefs, counting for the 6th and last day of group C this Saturday.
The Guinean club is 2nd in Group C with 8 pts +1. A draw should be enough to qualify for the quarterfinals. But the players want to win this game. "We are playing for the qualification simply. In addition, it is a home game and we have no right to make mistakes. We will do everything to win and reach the quarters. That's the decision of the whole group. That's been the watchword since we came back from Luanda, where the team went to win. We have talented players and I think it is feasible," said Morlaye Sylla.
Kaizer Chiefs (3rd, 8 pts -1) must win to qualify. And that makes this match even more exciting. "I think that the most efficient and realistic team wins the match. It's a high-level game, with a lot at stake. We will have to be at our best offensively and defensively. What can save us will be to find the right balance between coming out at the right time and defending at the right time," added the Guinean international.
Asked about the difficulties of Horoya especially when the club plays at home with the pressure of the result. He said: "Losing our game (laughs) ... no I don't think so. We have a mature team, with many internationals, guys who have experience for games like this. We're used to playing this kind of game. So it's in the mind that it happens''.
Both teams need victory but more interestingly, host Horoya will qualify in case of a draw, while Chiefs will sail through with a victory.
