AS Fortuna vs Avion
Avion of Nkam bounced back in style from their opening day 3-0 defeat to Bamboutos to beat Dragon by a similar score line in match day two. They will be looking up to their hat-trick hero Georges Mfegue for inspiration.
Despite a relatively good start to the season with four points from a possible six, AS Fortuna’s coach Guy Bertin Djiepnang threw in the towel for he calls poor working conditions. Coach Ndedi will be the man in the dugout this weekend against Avion.
He will be looking up to forward Franck Thierry Etoga Mbella who bagged that brace against Eding in match day one for inspiration.
Djiko vs Eding
Coach Francois Heya has been shown the door at Eding Sports after two consecutive defeats in their opening two games. Stephane Ndzana has been brought in to turn around the fortunes of the 2017 Cameroon champions.
On their part, Djiko FC of Coach Guy Berlin Kamguia will like to continue their fine star start to the season, with four points in their first two games. While Eding will be looking for their first point, Djiko FC will try to keep their unbeaten run.
Bamboutos vs Stade Renard
The Mangwa Boys will be playing for a third win out of three games against Stade Renard of Melong who have not really gotten their season off the ground despite their stated ambitions and numerous new signings.
Fovu vs YAFOOT II
Fovu of Baham are unbeaten in their opening two games. Coach Olivier Nankam will be looking to keep their unbeaten run against newly promoted YAFOOT II in match day three. After their 1-1 draw against Union in match day two they will be looking to get back to winning ways. YAFOOT II lost their opening game to PWD of Bamenda and were on standby in match day two. They will see this game as an opportunity to bounce back from that opening day set back.
Colombe vs TKC
Tonnerre of Yaoundé kicked off their season with 1-0 win over Panthere in match day two, thanks a goal from Patrick Anaba Metogo. They will be playing against Colombe of Dja and Lobo who recorded a 1-1 draw with UMS in match day two. Their new signing from Tonnerre Ledoux Tchouta scored their goal in that draw. He will be looking haunt his former employers. Jules Abbah Onana’s new look Colombe are yet to clearly show what they are all about. This could be an opportunity.
New Stars vs UMS
William Matam gave New Stars of Douala their first win of the season with a 1-0 win over Astres in match day two. They will be out to record a second win of the season against UMS who are capable of the worst and best. Wilfried Mboungain opened his goal scoring account for the season against Colombe. He will be the main man for coach Dieudonne Nke’s team.
Canon vs YOSA
Canon of Yaoundé will be looking to bounce back from that 3-2 defeat to APEJES in match day two. Goals from Eyango Priso and Gilles Enanombel were not enough for the 10 times Cameroon champions.
Coach Birwe Mikreo’s men dominated against APEJES, but finished the game on the losing end. They will be out to correct that against Martin Nkabyo’s Yong Sports Academy who are still after their first win of the season. They lost 2-0 to Coton sport last time in Garoua, this will be an opportunity for them to reassure their supporters.
Panthere vs Coton Sport
Panthere of Nde started the season with a 2-0 win over UMS of Loum. David Lee Kokolome bagged a brace in that game. He failed to repeat that performance against Tonnerre in match day two as they lost 1-0 to Tonnerre.
Coton sport of Garoua are a team in confidence. After their 2-0 win over reigning CAF Confederations Cup champions RS Berkane and earlier 2-0 win over Yong Sports Academy, Souleymanou Aboubakar’s men will like to carry on with their winning ways against Nzumento.
Cotonsport are the favorites in this one but Panthere will give in their all.
APEJES vs Astres
Astres of Douala have lost their two opening fixtures with a similar 1-0 score line. Anicet Mbarga Foe’s men travel to Yaoundé to face APEJES who recorded a prestigious 3-2 win over Canon last time out. Under 20 internationals Apam Asongwe and Samuel Kotto were amongst the goals for coach Ndongo Emma’s men. A third consecutive loss for Astres will not be good news for the fans of the Brazilians of Bepanda. It promises to be a mouth watering contest.
