Ghanaian Andre Ayew's Swansea and Bournemouth have taken a step closer to a return to the Premier League next season. The two teams won the first leg of the Championship play-offs on Monday 17 May.
Ghana's Andre Ayew and Swansea are two games away from a return to the Premier League. Ayew's goal for the Swans, which came after a 1-0 win over Barnsley, has put the club on course for a return to the top flight.
It was the first time in the history of the league that the Swans have played in the Championship play-off final at Wembley on 29 May. Ayew and his team-mates will have to wait until the second leg of the semi-finals on 22 May.
If they qualify, Swansea will face either Bournemouth or Brentford in the final. These two teams faced each other in the other semi-final of the first leg of the play-offs. The former won by 1-0.
On 29 May at Wembley, England will find out which of the three Championship teams will join Norwich and Watford in the Premier League next season.
