Ex-Black Maidens Captain, Abdulai Mukarama, has signed a new deal with Spanish Club Deportivo Alaves Femenino.
The two-year deal with the club was announced by the club when it issued a statement that read: “Deportivo Alavés and Abdulai Mukarama have reached an agreement whereby the Ghanaian forward will become a new Albiazul player for the next two seasons”.
“Abdulai Mukarama [Ghana, 2002] occupies the forward position and comes to the Gloriosas from Northern Ladies FC. Last season she competed in LSU Soccer, the American university league, where she managed to be the top scorer of the championship’, it adds.
The 18-year-old Ghanaian striker will be moving from the Ghanaian women's premier league side Northern Ladies to join Deportivo Alaves.
Abdulai Mukarama gained prominence after winning the Golden Boot FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Uruguay in 2018. She was also crowned Bronze Ball winner at the tournament.
The former Northern Ladies player recently graduated from American University, Tyler Junior College, where she helped them win the national state championship.
“Abdulai Mukarama arrives at the Paseo de Cervantes entity to bring youth, strength, and a goal to the premiere of the Gloriosas in the Primera Iberdrola, and in what will, in turn, be its premiere in the Spanish league.
From Deportivo Alavés we want to wish the best of luck to Abdulai Mukarama in his time as Albiazul”, the statement by the club has said.
