Jaraaf of Dakar qualifies for the first time in the quarterfinals of the CAF Cup by winning at home against Etoile Sportive du Sahel (1-0), during the 5th day of group C. CS Sfaxien, who beat Salitas 2-0, also books their place in the quarter-finals.
This is a great achievement for the Senegalese club. In their first participation in the group stages, Jaraaf qualified for the quarterfinals by eliminating Etoile Sportive du Sahel (1-0).
Pape Youssou Paye (25th) scored the only goal of the match against Salitas in both legs. Jaraaf kept their lead despite the commitment of the Tunisians. Jaraaf (10 pts +2) is now the leader in this group.
The other ticket went to CS Sfaxien, winner of Salitas (2-0). Firas Chaouat (7th, sp) and Kingsley Eduwo (51st) were the Sfaxien scorers. CSS (9 pts +3) are in second place and will meet Jaraaf in the sixth and final round.
Etoile Sportive du Sahel (3rd, 5 pts) and Salitas (4th, 3 pts) are eliminated. The two teams will meet again on Matchday 6.
