Sergio Ramos is officially a PSG player. He has signed a two-year contract. Speaking to his new club's website for his first interview, the former Real Madrid defender gave the reasons for his choice, while Manchester City also wanted him.
"I am very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain. It's a big change in my life, a new challenge and a day I will never forget," said the 35-year-old defender. I am proud to be part of this very ambitious project, to join a team with great players. It's a club that has already proved itself at the highest level with solid foundations. I want to continue to grow with Paris and help the team work towards winning titles."
"I can bring experience and maturity."
Sergio Ramos' record, both for club and country, is impressive. With Real Madrid, where he played for 16 years, he won five league titles and four Champions League titles. With La Roja (180 caps, 23 goals), he has won the Euro twice (2008 and 2012) and the World Cup once (2010).
He intends to put this experience at the service of his new partners. '' I think I can bring experience and maturity," promises the Spaniard, who will wear the number 4 shirt as he did at Real Madrid. '' I'm a hard worker, I like to be consistent and have a sense of sacrifice. That's what I've achieved throughout my career, and I'll try to give my best to try and bring as many titles here as possible."

Ramos added: "It's a club (PSG) that is among the top in Europe, it's a club that works hard to succeed, with a great history. It's a young club but it's still growing. There are great players in the squad, it's a chance for me to grow personally and professionally."
