The timing is perfect. What a way to announce your presence in Madrid. Liverpool out-classed Arsenal 3-0 away in London on Matchday 30 of the Premier League.
Liverpool still has the arsenal it will take to bring down Real Madrid in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League. The reds hugely dominated Arsenal FC in London on Saturday night with Salah, Mane and Ferminho all showing signs of fitness and aptitude.
The English champions were ruthless to the extreme, administering a severe spanking (0-3) to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's team. Liverpool could count on Mo Salah who secured the game by scoring for the visitors after bullying Arsenal's Brazilian defender Gabriel to slut the ball through the legs of German keeper Leno in the second half.
All looked set for a draw for Arsenal until super substitute Diogo Jota was introduced with less than 30 minutes on the clock. After spending just two minutes on the pitch, the Portuguese opened scoring at the 64th minute before Salah made it 2-0 for the Reds four minutes later. Jota will complete a brace at the 82nd minute.
Liverpool showed class as right back Trent Alexander Arnold's crosses were incisive, precise and hard.

Alison, Liverpool's keeper had very little to worry throughout the game as Arsenal only had one touch in Liverpool's danger area. Aubameyang and Lacazette both failed to get an attempt on target in the match. Liverpool were present in all compartments and it was a fine victory announcing their trip to Madrid 72 hours ahead of the clash with Real, a remake of the 2018 final, won (3-1) by the Spaniards in Kiev, Ukraine.
Zinedine Zidane and his men know what to expect on Tuesday night. It's not just a matter of the team's performance, but an opportunity to better serve a revenge for the visitors. But Real Madrid too is in superlative form in La Liga as they eased pass Eibar 2-0 on Saturday night with goals from Ascensio and Benzema, to go within touching distance, 3 points behind leaders Athletico of Madrid.
