The South Africans have filed a complaint with FIFA challenging the result against Ghana. The case is proceeding. The world football body has sent a letter to the South African Football Association (SAFA). It confirmed that it had received the complaint from South Africa.
FIFA also explains that it "has received the letter of protest from SAFA and has requested a response from the Ghanaian FA by 20 November. As for the outcome of this case, the Rainbow Nation will be determined on November 23, according to FIFA's response.
As a reminder, the case started on Sunday, November 14, when South Africa travelled to Ghana. Bafana Bafana only needed a point to reach the play-offs. However, they lost the match on a penalty kick, converted by Andre Ayew.
