Sports journalists took to social media to express their thoughts. On Twitter these are what some notable journalists said:
“Kudus Mohammed has an incredible stamina. Skill and intelligence. Draws at least 3 players to himself to create spaces that doesn't really get utilized. We need to capitalize on his influence on games. Hasn't had a bad game for Ghana yet. Solid”- @SaddickAdams tweeted.
“Whispers from behind the scene =Abalora makes an unpardonable mistake that leads to goal in yet another international game: Baba Iddrisu proves to us that he is our best bet in that holding rule. The water carrier: Kudus is the teams conductor: Jordan tried to do too much, didn’t really execute his role as the target man well. - CK set up the team really well but I wonder why it look him that long to make changes especially up front. This is a friendly for Christ seek!!!!”- @obbampoegh shared.
“You see, Lomotey hasn’t helped himself either. His call ups have often been criticized heavily and people feel he’s only there because of Kurt. But imagine if he had proven himself in all the ck aces he’s had? He’s not impressed beyond doubt that he deserves that position.”- @Fentuo_
“The black stars played a good game, but our goalkeeper failed us. I don't like criticizing /blaming players but wei dierr”-@Thfifalady tweeted.
Ghana will host the Elephants of Ivory Coast in Cape Coast on Saturday, June 12, 2021 in a second friendly game.
