Ifeoma Onumonu starred for Gotham having opening the scoring in Saturday's 2-0 triumph over OL Reign.
Following a 1-1 draw at Orlando Pride in their last time out, Farid Benstiti's side faced their hosts, who were coming from a 2-0 victory over Chicago Red Stars, with the quest of returning to winning ways.
The Nigeria striker was handed her sixth appearance, althrough her third start of the season and she went on to break the deadlock in the 38 minutes of the game to put the visitors ahead thanks to Margaret Purce's assist.
With that breakthrough, they went into the half-time break with a one-goal lead inside Cheney Stadium.
After the restart, the visitors grabbed their second of the match courtesy of Purce's strike off Nahomi Kawasumi's assist on the hour mark of the encounter.
Leveraging on their two-goal lead against the hosts, the Gotham wrapped up their victory when Evelyne Viens set up Dominque Richardson to fire the ball past goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi.
With her latest goal, the American-Nigerian player's effort has now scored twice in six appearances for her in the 2021 campaign. Subsequently, she featured for 68 minutes before being substituted for Viens.
Besides Onumonu, who featured for the first time for Nigeria at the Summer Series, Cameroon defender Estelle Johnson and Ghana midfielder Jennifer Cudjoe tasted actions for 68 and 46 minutes respectively.
With this result, Gotham have climbed up to third position on the National Women's Soccer League, sitting 11 points from six matches.
With two goals already this season, Onumonu would be hoping to build on her impressive form in front of goal when they take on Kansas City in their next encounter on July 3.
