24-year-old Cameroon forward Didier Lamkel Ze was unplayable for Royal Antwerp in their 4-2 home win over Kortrijk in match day 30 of the Belgian top flight on Saturday March 6, 2021.
The former Niort forward scored one and provided another for Antwerp in their impressive win.
He has now scored five and provided three assists in his 14 league games this season for Royal Antwerp.
Antwerp went a man down as early as the 20th minute when Abdoulaye Seck got his matching orders.
But that did not perturb their resolve to get all three points. Lior Refaelov put them ahead from the spot at the 28th minute.
Even with their numerical disadvantage, they could still afford a penalty miss from Jordan Lukaku at the 54th minute.
But Lior Refaelov combined with Maxime Le Marchand one minute later to ease their nerves, with the latter providing the telling touch for their second goal.
Kortrijk did not go down without a fight. Faiz Selemani helped them back into the game after pulling one back at the 56th minute, before turning provider for their equalizer at the 67th, to Zinho Gano.
Lamkel Ze then became decisive, when he put Antwerp ahead again at the 72nd minute, making the most of Dieumerci Mbokani’s through ball.
He then turned provider for their fourth at the 85th minute. Birger Verstraete got their fourth and final goal to put the game out of the reach for the visitors.
The win takes Antwerp to second on the log with 51 points, behind Club Bruges on 63. Kortrijk are 14th on the 18 teams league table with 36 points after 30 games.
