Sport News Africa (SNA) continues its breakthrough. The ambition of the platform is to become a reference in the treatment of sports news in Africa. The management team of the news platform dedicated to sport is in Kinshasa, in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), to exchange with media professionals, actors of the sports world and Congolese advertisers. The founder and CEO of SNA, Séné Ossebi, presented the project and announced the creation of a paper during a press conference held on Friday 25 June at the Pullman Hotel in the Congolese capital.

In her speech, Séné Ossebi recalled the objectives of the group and the path taken since its creation. '' We created Sport News Africa with the primary ambition of telling the story of our African athletes," she said. '' We also seek to contribute effectively to the influence of sport on the entire African continent.''

The aim, she adds, is to support the continent's players, clubs, managers and federations.

A space for advertisers
The boss of SNA insists on some figures: "We are a media that exists since November 2019. We have a strong team of correspondents in 16 countries and produce more than 100 original contents in-house every week. SNA covers all sports disciplines with an original touch of editorial treatment. SNA has over 200,000 followers on social networks (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). We have a very good referencing with 150,000 visits per month, 180,000 followers on Facebook and 20,000 on Instagram."

Sport News Africa offers its advertisers privileged access to a pan-African market. With this in mind, its COO, Olivier Lombart, presented the group's paper medium to Congolese journalists, sports players and advertisers. After the online newspaper (www.sportnewsafrica.com), SNA is innovating with the print medium. The new medium will deal exclusively with sports news from the DRC and Congo Brazzaville. It will also be a space for brands and for sports betting enthusiasts.

Why Kinshasa?
When asked why Kinshasa was chosen to launch the print edition, Olivier Lombart invokes the size of the Congolese capital and a favorable context. He says: "We wanted to operate in a large French-speaking country. Kinshasa is the first French-speaking city in the world, it's a real market, and one with passionate people. There is also an event next year: the Games of the Francophonie which is an element that counted in our choice of Kinshasa as a pilot city for this project.''

Sport News Africa remains a young and ambitious pan-African media. Through reports, features, interviews, investigations, dossiers, analyses..., available in text, audio and video formats, SNA is increasingly asserting itself as a key partner for all actors in the world of sport in Africa.

The platform has both the French and English versions online.
