Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala and Barcelona have been drawn against compatriot Rita Chikwelu's Madrid CFF in the Spanish Copa de la Reina semi-final, following Wednesday's draw.
The semi-final draw event held at the Royal Spanish Football Federation headquarters pitted Oshoala against Madrid that also had the Nigerian trio of Chidinma Okeke, Osinachi Ohale and Ogonna Chukwudi besides Chikwelu.
Both teams are meeting for the second time in the competition since a quarterfinal tie in 2019, in which Barcelona celebrated a 3-0 win.
To reach the last four, Oshoala-less Barcelona came from a goal down to thrash Sevilla 4-1 despite Toni Payne's assist a week ago, while Chikwelu provided an assist to see Madrid pip Real Madrid 2-1.
Despite being injured, Lluis Cortes' team will hope Oshoala recovers in time for the duel, while Oscar Fernandez will be counting on the Nigerians to derail Barcelona's dreams of a quadruple this term.
In the other semi-final, Nigeria's Rasheedat Ajibade and Cameroon's Ajara Nchout's Atletico Madrid will eye a final spot but must subdue Levante, who currently has Nigerian-born Andrea Okene and newly signed Francisca Ordega.
Ajibade was the heroine for Atletico as her late winner handed her side a 1-0 quarterfinal triumph over holders Real Sociedad while Levante edged Tenerife 2-1 on April 21.
On the other hand, both Okene and Ordega were missing in Tenerife triumph but either of them will hope to help Maria Pry's side see off Atletico to keep up their quest to celebrate title success this season.
The single Copa de la Reina semi-final encounters are scheduled to take place on May 25 and 26 respectively in Leganes, while the final will be held in the Community of Madrid on May 30.
