The 5th day of the CAF Champions League begins this Friday, with a duel between the Mouloudia Club of Algiers and Al Hilal. The Algerians, third in group C (4 points), have a golden opportunity to place themselves in the race for qualification, against Sudanese who are leaders with 8 points.
The other match of the pool will oppose, on Sunday, Saint-Éloi Lupopo (4th, 4 points) to Mamelodi Sundowns (2nd, 5 points). This group C will undoubtedly be the most followed during this 5th and penultimate day.
In group D, some serious opposition is in sight. Stade Malien (1st, 8 points) will face Espérance de Tunis (2nd, 6 points). The stakes are clear: the first place for Tunisians, the qualification for Malians. In the other meeting, Petro Luanda (3rd, 5 points) will face Simba Sports (4th, 1 point).
Pool B will also be worth the detour, with the meeting between Al Ahly, leader (8 points), and JS Kabylie (4th, 2 points). The Egyptians can take the lead as the Algerians play their last card. A fierce battle for 2nd place will take place between Young Africans (2nd, 5 points) and AS FAR (3rd, 5 points).
Finally, in Group A, Pyramids FC, defending champion and leader (10 points), will challenge Rivers United (4th, 1 point), while the Zambians of Power Dynamos (3rd, 4 points) will have a crucial meeting against RS Berkane (2nd, 7 points).
