Manchester City striker Raheem Sterling has been the victim of racist abuse on Instagram. These were spotted after Manchester City's 2-0 win over PSG in the Champions League semi-final second leg on Tuesday 4 May.
This drift by Raheem Sterling comes a day after the end of a three-day boycott of social networks by all of English football teams and managements. The boycott was in protest against racism and other discrimination against footballers.
Facebook, which owns Instagram, said it had removed the racist comment and sanctioned the account responsible.
This is not the first time Raheem Sterling has been the victim of racism. Recently, two City fans were given five-year stadium bans for using racist abuse against him.
