FC Barcelona played on Saturday morning in a delayed game. Predictably Asisat Oshoala and the Catalans continue their incredible series of successes by dominating (3-0) Eibar of South Africa's Thembi Kgatlana.
At the kick-off of this match counting for the 8th day of the Spanish 1st division, there were two African women to watch out. The Nigerian Asisat Oshoala and the South African Thembi Kgatlana. The two players are the last two to win the title of ''Best African Player of the Year''. Oshoala (13 goals) and Kgatlana (9 goals) are also the two top African scorers in the Women's Super League. Both Africans failed to score in the game.
Unsurprisingly, however, it is the Catalans who leave the Basque Country with the victory. Melanie Serrano (25'), Mariona Caldentey (66') and Jenni Hermoso (87') scored the Barça goals. With this success, the 17th in 17 games, Barcelona's women confirm that it will be extremely difficult to take the title from them. They are now 10 points ahead of Levante (2nd; 41 pts) who have two games more.
