All original articlesAfter the AFCON 2025, it is the turn of the clubs to make their return for the 3rd day of the CAF Champions League. In group A, the big attention this weekend will be the opposition between RS Berkane and Pyramids, the only clubs that have won their first two games.
Duel for the first place between Berkane and Pyramids
They are the two best clubs since the beginning of this Champions League. La Renaissance Sportive de Berkane who beat Power Dynamos (3-0) and Rivers United (2-1) receives Pyramids, the reigning champion and his runner-up in the Group A standings (RSB leading thanks to the goal difference) who also made it clear during the first two days.
The Egyptians corrected Rivers United (3-0) for their first outing before making the minimum service against the Zambian Power Dynamos (1-0). It is therefore a duel to determine the leader of the group that awaits us this Friday evening, three days before the end of the group phase. The winner will move significantly closer to qualifying in the quarter-finals.
Mamelodi Sundowns – Al AHilal, the other shock
In Group C, it’s also two teams that are fighting for what they have to do. Al-Hilal faces Mamelodi Sundowns to determine there too the first of the group. The South Africans are currently leaders thanks to the difference in goals but have the same number of points (4) as the Sudanese club.
Al Ahly – Young Africans
It is the third shock of this third day that will attract attention during this 3rd day. Young Africans travels to Cairo to face the reigning champion, Al Ahly for the grand duel in Group B. The two teams also have three points and the winner will take the lead alone.
