Semi-finalist in Qatar in 2022, Morocco will be highly anticipated for the 2026 World Cup. To repeat the same performance or do better, the coach Mohamed Ouahbi has summoned 26 days. Achraf Hakimi, Yassine Bounou, Sofyan Amrabat or Brahim Diaz are called. Having recently opted for the Atlas Lions, Ayyoub Bouaddi is selected. One of the national team managers, Youssef En-Nesyri, is absent.
This Tuesday in the preparation match, Morocco atomized Burundi (5-0) thanks to the doubles of El Kaabi, Benjdida and a goal from Bentayeb. At the 2026 World Cup, the Moroccan selection shares group C with Brazil, Scotland and Haiti.
