Comoros and Angola part as friends

No winner between Comoros and Angola. The two sides could not be separated in a friendly (0-0) played on Monday 25 March. Comoros had beaten Uganda (4-0) in their first match on 22 March, while Angola had lost to Morocco (1-0).

Gabon held by Congo

After their heavy defeat (3-0) against Senegal on Friday 22 March, Gabon needed a reaction against Congo on Monday 24 March. But the Panthers could not deliver, drawing with their opponents (1-1). Axel Meye (39th) had put the Gabonese ahead, but the Congolese hit back with an equaliser in the 74th minute.

Cape Verde do the bare minimum

The Blue Sharks of Cape Verde did just enough against Equatorial Guinea. The only goal of this friendly came from Jovane in the 65th minute. The victory was slow in coming for the Islanders, but they did eventually break the deadlock.

Fireworks from the Syli

Guinea's national team showed no mercy against Bermuda, who were hammered. The Syli won emphatically, 5-1. Morlaye Sylla scored twice (11th, 47th), with Kandet Diawara (52nd), Jules Keita (61st) and Mamadou Kane (70th) also on target for Guinea. Bermuda's goal was scored by Dante Leverock (15th).

Rwanda beat Madagascar

One draw and one win is Rwanda's return from this March international break. After being held by Botswana, the Amavubi got the better of Madagascar on Monday 25 March in the international tournament played in Antananarivo (2-0). A goal from Gilbert Mugisha (29th) put the Rwandans in front, before a second from Djihad Bizimana in the closing moments (90th+1) sealed the win.

Tanzania beat Mongolia

Tanzania will leave these FIFA Series in Azerbaijan with a win. After a defeat against Bulgaria, the Taifa Stars put things right with a comfortable victory over Mongolia (3-0). They had to wait until the second half before the Tanzanians stepped up a gear and forced the issue, first through Kelvin John's opener (49th). Suleiman (63rd), then Miroshi (77th), also got on the scoresheet to complete the scoring.

Burundi and Botswana cancel each other out

No win for Burundi or Botswana at the international tournament held in Antananarivo during this March international break. After a defeat and a draw respectively, the two sides could not be separated in their second match either. They finished with a goalless draw (0-0), before their next outings in June in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Central African Republic beat Papua New Guinea

The Wild Beasts keep rolling. After their historic win (6-0) over Bhutan in their first match at the FIFA Series in Sri Lanka, Central African Republic made it a 2nd straight victory, again in style, this time against Papua New Guinea (4-0). Raoul Savoy's side killed off the contest in the first half through goals from Yamanendji-Malipangou (11th) and a brace from Godame (25th and 45th). Godame even completed a hat-trick after the break with another goal at the start of the final ten minutes (79th). With this win, the Central Africans have won both of their matches in the competition.
