Amad Diallo, on loan at Sunderland in the Championship this season from Manchester United, has been voted young player of the year by the fans. With 12 goals and 3 assists in 35 games in England's second tier, the Ivorian is clearly enjoying a superb season. Regarded as lightweight at Manchester, the former Atalanta Bergamo player has sharpened his eye for goal over two seasons at Sunderland. He is among his side's top scorers. It is a deserved reward for the Ivory Coast international, who was recalled in March to the Elephants squad to face the Comoros.
