Nothing is official yet, but Thomas Partey no longer feels the way he used to at Arsenal. His new job as a right wing-back does not suit him at all, which is why he has reconsidered his future with the Gunners. According to Tuttomercatoweb, Partey is unhappy with the situation and could ask for a transfer if it does not change. The same source even claims that the Ghana international is ready to leave as early as the January transfer window.

If Partey leaves the Premier League, he could head to Serie A and Juventus. The Bianconeri are following developments in Partey's situation closely. Andrian Rabiot's contract runs out in June 2024 and he has yet to give any sign of a possible extension. Worse still, Paul Pogba is currently suspended for doping, so the Italian giants are short of options in midfield. And to avoid being caught out, the Turin side are planning ahead, with Partey as the cover they have in mind.

His new wing-back role does not suit him

Since the last transfer window in August, the Black Star has remained on Juventus's radar. They had pushed to sign him, but in the end no agreement between the two clubs could be reached. At Arsenal, there is now much more faith in Declan Rice in the heart of midfield. Partey is therefore deployed on the right. If he does not play in that position, he will struggle to get minutes in his usual role. The unhappiness of Partey with his new role has therefore fuelled speculation about his future. Juventus are reportedly monitoring the situation.
