Asec Mimosas coach Julien Chevalier faced the press on 29 April ahead of the Confederation Cup quarter-final second leg. While the French coach does not want to get carried away with overconfidence, he is well aware of the great opportunity for his team and himself to write a new chapter in the club's history. "I don't like referring to the past. I prefer to live in the present. Clearly, this home second leg is a great opportunity to achieve something big," Chevalier said at a press conference at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké. In his view, the team must "control the match according to what the opposition intend to do on the pitch". As for the rest, the Frenchman is convinced his players know what they have to do against the Tunisians of US Monastir. "The players are aware of what is at stake in this match, which remains open. They know what they have to do. We are continuing to prepare for an opponent who will give everything. We are preparing for every scenario," he said. The Yellow and Blacks must win, after the 0-0 draw in Tunisia, to reach the semi-finals of the 2022-2023 CAF Cup. To do that, they will need to find the net again on Sunday. "We have always worked on our attacking play. And we will do whatever it takes to secure qualification," he concluded.
