After the Kalahari Conference, the Nile Conference has now delivered its verdict for the fourth edition of the BAL. In this group, Egypt's Al Ahly, the defending champions, played at home and took on Libya's Al Alhy, newcomers to the competition. Also involved were Central African side Bangui Sporting Club and Ugandan outfit City Oilers, who are in their second BAL. Each team played the other three twice. The top two teams (Al Ahly of Cairo and Al Ahly Benghazi) will go to the BK Arena in Kigali, along with the two best third-placed teams from all the other conferences, for four classification games, then eight play-off games and the finals. Those games will take place from 24 May to 1 June.
