Abidjan Basketball Club have become the first Ivorian club to qualify for the finals of the 2023 Basketball Africa League (BAL), scheduled for Rwanda. The Fighters beat Nigeria's Kwara Falcons this afternoon by 79 to 76. With the teams level in an intensely contested game, Bilé's three-pointer put the Fighters ahead. It is the second straight win for coach Liz Mills' players. Three days earlier, the Ivory Coast champions had beaten reigning BAL champions US Monastir by 90 to 74. Those two successive wins have opened the door to Africa's biggest club competition for the Red and Whites. Historic!
