Bayern: Nicolas Jackson, a championship title and a unclear future
On Sunday evening, Nicolas Jackson celebrated the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich by taking part in a 4-2 win against Stuttgart. But with four days to go before the end of the season in Germany, everything suggests that the Senegalese striker has no future in Bavaria. In London, nothing is less certain either for the former Villarreal striker.

When he arrived at Bayern Munich last summer, Nicolas Jackson knew that nothing would be offered to him. Especially not on a team that has one of the best forwards in the world in Harry Kane. However, the Senegalese striker clung to his ambition to succeed away from Chelsea where the relationship with Enzo Maresca has deteriorated and even more with the management.
Bayern Munich doesn’t plan to keep Jackson
Eight months later, Nicolas Jackson can be proud of having contributed to the Munich title in the Bundesliga with his 6 goals and 2 assists in 19 league matches (9 goals and 4 assists in 29 games in all competitions). An apparently satisfactory performance in relation to its use so far (12 starts and 17 games as a substitute). But the future will probably be written elsewhere for Leo.
As reported by the German journalist Florian Plettenberg, no discussion for a permanent transfer of Jackson is currently underway between the player’s clan and the management of Bayern Munich. A new loan is also not on the agenda and therefore, a departure at the end of the season is looming.

A turbulent summer on the horizon
Under contract until 2033, Nicolas Jackson left Chelsea last September in a context of conflict with his club. The condition for him to sign permanently with Bayern Munich can no longer be met (40 starts), the Senegalese will return to London this summer. But since his departure, many things have changed in Chelsea, notably with the departure of Enzo Maresca with whom he was no longer in good odor.
From there to predict a long-term future with the Blues? It would still be too early, especially since Liam Rosenior, who has taken up the torch with the Londoners this winter, is not sure to remain in office next season, while Chelsea could miss the next Champions League.
In this total blur, Nicolas Jackson may have one last joker to regain stability at the club: the World Cup. Apparently, the 24-year-old centre-forward is certain to be on Pape Thiaw’s list for the American expedition. And he must show himself to his advantage in order to catch the eye of other clubs. The London leaders must not be too greedy to facilitate his exit. But one thing is certain, the name of Nicolas Jackson will animate the next summer transfer window.
