Benin's six representatives at the World Arm Wrestling Championships in New Delhi will not all be at the table on the same day. The World Federation's schedule separates the youth events from para arm wrestling, and distinguishes left-arm competitions from right-arm ones.

Three young competitors in action on 30 and 31 October

Fervent Sonou is listed in the sub-junior boys' 50 kg, Reine Ahoude in the junior girls' 50 kg and Justin Gogovi in the young men's 55 kg. For these categories, the left-arm events are scheduled for Friday 30 October. The right-arm events will follow on Saturday 31 October.

The weigh-in for sub-juniors, juniors and young men is on the programme for Thursday 29 October.

Para arm wrestling on 1 and 2 November

Mauricette Houédanou is entered in the junior girls' standing 50 kg. Séraphin Gbeyigbe and Eléonore Zountangni are listed in the junior hearing-impaired categories, in the boys' 55 kg and the girls' 50 kg respectively.

The schedule has the para left-arm events on Sunday 1 November, then the right-arm events on Monday 2 November. The para weigh-in is set for 31 October, after the classification period.

The overall dates of the event, from 26 October to 7 November, therefore also cover the arrival and departure of delegations. They do not amount to thirteen days of competition for each athlete.

Two arms, two events

The left-arm and right-arm titles are won separately. At the African Games held in Accra in March 2024, Marie-Rose Laleye won two gold medals in the 65 kg. In her interview with SNA after that double, she explained that she had prepared for the events both physically and mentally.
