At last, light at the end of the tunnel! Serious business resumes after four months of inactivity. The Ivorian Boxing Federation (FIB) has set the start of the national championships for 30 May 2023, one day after the weigh-in and medical check scheduled for 29 May. As is customary, the talent identification stage will get the 2023 season's competitions under way. The identification phase will run for five days at the Biafra Sports Complex in Treichville. The finals are scheduled for 3 June 2023. The national championships for novices, amateurs and professionals will follow.
"Boxers needed to be given time to prepare properly. This sporting year is a pivotal one for Ivorian boxing, particularly at international level.", explained FIB president Emmanuel Arthur Boua.
