An impassable wall
Between February 7 and March 13, 2026, Razack Guira achieved a near-flawless, 7 clean sheets. In detail, his statistics are impressive: 1 goal scored, only 1 goal conceded, and especially 5 penalties saved including 3 against the AFFA and 2 against the BASGA JO in the Faso Cup.

« I take advantage of the opportunity. The competition is tough. So, I give the maximum of myself to defend the team,"

confides with humility the young 22-year-old goalkeeper.
Added to this 11 aerial saves, 7 saves in the box, 26 successful restarts and 85 passes, for an overall average of 7.5/10. Figures that earned him to be named the winner of the Abdoulaye Soulama Prize for the month of February.

" It’s a pleasure to be rewarded, it shows that the work done has been recognized"

smiles the goalkeeper, visibly touched by this distinction which honors the memory of the late Abdoulaye Soulama, one of the greatest goalkeepers in the history of Burkinabe football.

Abdoul Razack Guira, at his peak this season.
Razack Guira’s journey is not that of a spoiled child of football. He was initially the understudy of Mohamed Isidore Traoré at Vitesse FC. But when the opportunity presented itself, he seized it with both hands.

"It wasn’t easy since I was in Ouagadougou. Once arrived in Bobo-Dioulasso, I started with the AJEB in the second division (D2), I went through the Racing Club of Bobo-Dioulasso (RCB), then today at Vitesse FC. I really wanted to come play here,"

 he says.

Beyond his technical qualities between the posts, the young goalkeeper embodies dedication, discipline and self-sacrifice. Values that make him an indispensable element in the Guépards' locker room.

Priority, top flight  and the Faso Cup
Despite a delicate situation in the Fasofoot Ligue 1 standings where Vitesse FC is fighting for its survival, Razack Guira remains focused on the essential. The race to maintain comes first, just like the great adventure in the Faso Cup. And like any self-respecting footballer from Burkina Faso, he has a bigger dream: "One day, to wear the colors of the national team of the Stallions." For now, he knows that every match is a new opportunity to prove his worth and silence the skeptics.

The team must first ensure its safety in the league

With such performances, Abdoul Razack Guira is no longer just the FC Speed goalkeeper. He is in the process of becoming the goalkeeper that all Burkinabe football begins to watch closely.
