Make it three for Zamalek. On Sunday in Abuja, the Egyptian side secured a 3rd consecutive title by winning the African Women's Club Volleyball Championship (CACC 2025). The success underlines the Cairo club's dominance of the women's game, even though they had to work hard in the final to see off great rivals Al Ahly.
In another 100% Egyptian showdown, with the two sides level at one set apiece, they raised their game to pull clear and eventually win 3 sets to 1 (29-27, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22). They were helped in particular by an iron-clad defence at the net and a huge performance from Mariam Metwally Mohamed, named MVP of this CACC 2025. It allowed them to win the 39th edition of the competition and add their name to the roll of honour once again.
