Wydad AC – Maniema Union
After their successes against Nairobi United (3-0) and Azam FC (1-0), Wydad Athletic Club will try to continue this evening against the Congolese of Maniema Union who also have 6 points after two days. It was a shock at the top of Group B and WAC strongly strengthened during the break with the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech and Wissam Ben Yedder to try to finish the competition.
Zamalek-Al Masry, another duel for supremacy
In group D, Al Masry, leader with 6 points, faces his second in the standings, Zamalek who has two points less, for a duel between Egyptians. The winner will take the lead of the group at the end of this first leg phase. Eliminated in the quarter-finals last season, the White Knights want to win back the title they recently won two years ago.
San Pedro – OC Safi, the battle of the dolphins
With only three points left after two matches, FC San Pedro and Olympique Club Safi are meeting this Sunday to decide between themselves and get closer to the leader, USM Alger who made the three-man pass on Saturday by winning 2-0 in the opening match of the third day against Djoliba AC. The Ivorians currently occupy second place thanks to the difference in goals, but must be wary of the Moroccans who are going to Abidjan for the three points.
