Ivorian wrestlers made their mark at the African Championships in Olympic wrestling and Beach wrestling, which ended on 20 May in Tunisia. It was a good haul, with Ivory Coast picking up 5 medals. Bakayoko Nogona Céline, African champion in Beach wrestling and silver medallist in Olympic wrestling in the -60 kg category, Youin Amy, silver medallist in the senior +70 kg category in Beach wrestling, and Irié Lou Marie Fabiola, bronze medallist in the junior -72kg category, did the Ivorian flag particularly proud.
