The executive board of the National Olympic Committee (CNO), chaired by Georges N'Goan Joseph, has reviewed its first 12 months at the helm of the institution. It did so on Saturday 29 April 2023 at its Ordinary General Assembly, attended by 16 of the 24 federations that make up the CNO-CIV. It was also an opportunity for the new head of Ivorian Olympism to announce that an arbitration body exists to settle disputes in Ivorian sport. It is a welcome move, all the more so as several federations are still scarred by crises that have hampered their operations.
"All of this means that today we have a legal instrument that will allow the CNO to be modern and, above all, effective," the strongman of Ivorian Olympism reminded the assembly. The General Assembly also addressed the appointment of the independent external auditor and the 2023 budget, which was approved. On the financial and moral report, Me N'Goan said he was satisfied. "It has been exactly eight months since we took charge of the CNO-CIV. And in such a short time, we have been able to achieve exceptional things. We can only be satisfied with our record," said the former president of the Ivorian Tennis Federation, without, however, revealing any figures.
