Stellenbosch FC hold Zamalek
One of the favourites for the title, Zamalek failed to live up to their billing against Stellenbosch. Away in South Africa at the Cape Town Stadium, the Cairo club could only manage a goalless draw (0-0) despite dominating with 56% possession.
The return leg is scheduled for Wednesday 9 April 2025 at 16:00 GMT at Cairo International Stadium.
RS Berkane catch out ASEC Mimosas
ASEC Mimosas, at the Stade Félix Houphouet-Boigny, held out for 75 minutes before cracking. From a defensive error, the Ivorian side conceded the opening goal. Imad Riahi scored for RS Berkane. It is a slender advantage for this season's Botola Pro winners ahead of the home return leg on Wednesday 9 April at 19:00 GMT.
Al-Masry beat Simba SC
At the New Suez Stadium, Al-Masry took a small edge in the race for a place in the semi-finals against Simba SC. The Egyptians won (2-0) thanks to goals from Abderrahim Deghmoum (16th) and John Okoye Ebuka (89th).
The match will take place at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on Wednesday 9 April at 13:00 GMT.
