RS Berkane do the bare minimum
RS Berkane had been warned. They came back late to draw 2-2 after trailing 2-0 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second round, so the Moroccans had to be careful on Friday 29 September for the return match against Bendel Insurance Football Club. Berkane sealed qualification with a 1-0 win. The path through began to open up late in the first half. Oussama Lamlioui broke the deadlock in the 44th minute. One goal was enough to get them through.

SuperSport cruise, Stade Malien have a scare
After salvaging a draw in the first leg away to Gaborone United Sporting Club (Botswana), SuperSport United played the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup play-offs at home on 29 September 2023. The South Africans won 3-0. After a goalless first half, SuperSport stepped up a gear after the break. Nigerian Etiosa Ighodaro bagged a brace (57th, 72nd) before Grobler added a third in stoppage time to send his side into the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
Winners by 2-0 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup play-offs, Stade Malien confirmed their place in the group stage on Friday 29 September. Away from home, the Whites lost 3-1 to Congolese side Aigle Noir. They go through on aggregate goal difference.
