Curry makes the difference after the break
At 38, the Warriors guard continues to impress. He finished the game with 29 points in only 28 minutes, including six three-pointers from twelve attempts.
Particularly efficient after the interval, he scored 22 points in the second half to put his side on course for victory.
Golden State had made a poor start, though, trailing by as many as ten points. The two teams went into the locker rooms level at 53-53. But after the break the Warriors stepped up a gear, winning the third quarter 38 to 23. It was a decisive spell that allowed them to pull clear.
Stephen Curry also had support from rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, who contributed 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists. For Miami, Giannis Antetokounmpo racked up 20 points and 14 rebounds, while Davion Mitchell scored 22 points and handed out eight assists. Bam Adebayo finished with 18 points and ten rebounds. Those performances were not enough to prevent defeat for the Heat.
Warriors rediscover their momentum
After losing their first three outings, the Californians have completely turned things around. They now have six wins and three defeats, while Miami stand at three wins and six losses.
In the evening's other game, the Phoenix Suns got the better of the Orlando Magic (117-104). Devin Booker was the driving force behind the win with 30 points and eight assists. Despite 27 points and 13 rebounds from Wendell Carter Jr, Orlando suffered their sixth defeat of the season. Phoenix, for their part, pick up only their second win after seven games.
