Become the best manager in African Fantasy Stars during the Africa Cup of Nations!

Who hasn't dreamed of being a national team manager, picking a squad for a major tournament and fielding a side to take on the opposition? That chance is now open to every football lover and fan of African football with the Africa Cup of Nations. Following the success of the first edition, launched in January 2022, Sport News Africa is giving all Fantasy League fans the chance to go head to head on African Fantasy Stars throughout the tournament.

African Fantasy Stars is a free online game in which you can take charge of your own team as manager and take on your friends in private leagues, test yourself against high-profile partners such as Blaise Matuidi, who is joining the competition to challenge you, or go up against other players in the global league and try to finish top of the overall standings on 11 February, when the tournament ends. To play African Fantasy Stars, the principle is simple. You are in charge of a national side and get to pick the players you want for your team. There are only two restrictions: you have a limited budget and you cannot select more than three players from the same country among the nations taking part in the competition. Choose the formation you want to play, then name your captain and your substitutes.

What next? Confirm your team and follow the players' performances throughout the tournament, because it is your players' actions on the real pitch that will earn you points in African Fantasy Stars. So you will need to make the right calls and have a good eye for spotting in-form players who can help you collect as many points as possible as the matches go by. It should make the Africa Cup of Nations even more exciting.
