2023 AFCON qualifiers: Ivory Coast squad announced

Ivory Coast face the Comoros on 24 March in the 3rd qualifying matchday, at the Stade de Bouaké. Ivorian head coach Jean-Louis Gasset named the Elephants squad for the fixture on 15 March 2023. As expected, Sébastien Haller is back. His last match before his illness was a year ago. There are also first call-ups for Jonathan Bamba and Simon Adingra. The former has been courted for years by the Ivorian Football Federation but until now had preferred to represent France. Tired of not being picked despite his fine performances with Lille (France), he has finally opted for his parents' country of origin. A young prodigy joins him in Simon Adingra, who has shone with Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium. Seko Fofana and Wifried Zaha, who is returning from injury, are missing from the squad.
