On 10 January 2023, Nadège Cissé joined Saint-Etienne's Les Vertes in the French women's second division from Belarus. Five months later, the 25-year-old Ivorian has earned promotion to D1 Arkema with Saint-Etienne. Despite losing to Montauban by 2 goals to 1, Cissé and her team-mates go up because Marseille, one of their direct promotion rivals, drew 2-2 with Evian Thonon at the same time. A year after relegation, the Forez side are back in the top flight with 17 wins in 20 matches.
