Women's football: Division 2 starts on Saturday

Division 2 of women's football begins this weekend. After four years away, the women's D2 is finally back thanks to FIF's new executive committee. On Saturday 18 March 2023, from 8:00, the 2022-2023 season of the Ivorian women's second division will open at the Stade Champroux in Marcory. It is a relief for everyone involved, including the players and club presidents who have waited so long. Twenty-five teams from almost every part of the country, split into 4 groups, will compete. Only four will earn promotion to the top flight, and the champions will be decided in a final four. The teams will play each other once. The participating clubs will receive no subsidies from FIF.
