Silence. That is how Feguifoot has handled the issue of sexual abuse and blackmail, including of minors, within its ranks, notably at the Nongo Academy, by burying its head in the sand.

Following the provisional suspension of Sekouba Camara, his replacement has been handed the same punishment after fresh revelations from Sport News Africa. However, the federation has issued no official statement, as it tries to keep this sordid affair as quiet as possible.
Mariama Diallo accused of confiscating young girls' passports
A figure in women's football, Diallo hit back immediately by setting up a WhatsApp group urging her players in the national school team to boycott training in a show of support. Worse still, she has kept the passports of her players, who are due to travel to China for the U18 School World Cup, to be held in mid-May.
For several federation officials, the coach's behaviour clearly shows her "hold" over underage girls. The matter will be dealt with by Feguifoot's Ethics Committee, chaired by judge Mohamed Diawara, who is also president of the Association of Magistrates of Guinea.
However, the federation's lack of communication still leaves the affair shrouded in uncertainty, and it is far from over. More names are expected to emerge soon, including staff members currently employed by Feguifoot.
