Indiana found their rhythm and Brooklyn could not keep up. The Pacers won on the road at the Barclays Center, 136–109, on Sunday, 25 October, turning a game that was still tight after twelve minutes into an emphatic victory. Tyrese Haliburton led the surge with 24 points and 10 assists. Pascal Siakam completed the job with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

The two quarters that changed everything

The Nets had actually finished the first quarter in front, 26–24. Their lead did not survive Indiana's growing offensive power. The visitors scored 41 points in the second period against 30 for Brooklyn, to go into the locker room with a nine-point lead, 65–56.

The restart confirmed the shift in the balance of power. The Pacers won the third quarter too, 37–24. Their lead stood at 22 points, 102–80, and Brooklyn were now chasing a team that could punish them both near the basket and from long range. Indiana maintained that efficiency into the final quarter, which they won 34–29, to finish with their biggest margin of the night.

Haliburton creates, Siakam finds answers

Haliburton combined precision and creativity: 8 of 13 from the field, including 4 of 7 from three-point range, with just two turnovers. His ability to score while setting up his team-mates gave the Pacers' attack a solid foundation. Siakam also helped the ball move, without confining himself to a finisher's role. The Cameroonian hit three of his six attempts from behind the arc.

The support was plentiful. Obi Toppin scored 16 points off the bench. Andrew Nembhard, Jay Huff and Kelly Oubre Jr. added 14 each, while Aaron Nesmith finished with 13. In all, seven Pacers reached double figures. That spread explains part of Brooklyn's problems: stopping one player was not enough.

Shooting that left the Nets little room

Indiana finished with 49 field goals on 85 attempts and a remarkable 21 of 43 from three-point range. Their 34 assists also reflect the number of options created collectively. The bench contributed 62 points, allowing the visitors to keep up the pressure through the rotations.

Brooklyn found their top scorer among the reserves: Nolan Traoré, with 17 points and 5 assists. Josh Minott added 15 points and 8 rebounds. Michael Porter Jr. and Julius Randle, by contrast, were held to 10 points each. The Nets remain winless after three games, while Indiana now have two wins and one loss.
