Algeria's CR Belouizdad could not pull off an upset against Egyptian giants Al Ahly. The Algerians had to settle for a goalless draw at home on matchday 4 of the Champions League. The hosts have reason for regret, having come close to scoring. The teams had also drawn by the same score on the third matchday.

While Al Ahly (6 pts) lead Group D, second-placed CR Belouizdad are under threat from Tanzania's Young Africans. Both sides have 5 points. Ghana's Medeama SC, in 4th, are only two points behind the leaders. A quarter-final place is therefore far from assured for these clubs. The final two matchdays will be decisive in this Group D of the Champions League.
