Yaxel Lendeborg finished with 37 points, including 6 three-pointers, as Golden State beat the Clippers 124-112 on Sunday 1 November 2026 at the Chase Center, in front of 18,064 spectators. Trailing by 11 points in the first quarter, the Warriors went on to lead by as many as 22 in the fourth. It is their fourth win of the season, following three defeats to start the campaign.

Golden State rested Stephen Curry and Draymond Green with Phoenix visiting the following day. The provisional injury report also listed Kristaps Porzingis, Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody as out for the Warriors. For the Clippers, Bradley Beal, Max Strus, Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Brandon Ingram and Jordan Miller were listed as out. In the standings as of 2 November, Golden State are four wins and three defeats and sit 10th in the Western Conference. The Clippers are 1-5, 13th.

Eleven points up for the Clippers, then the comeback

The Clippers had the better of the start. Midway through the first quarter they still led 16-14. A 10-0 run, from 26-27 to 26-37, then gave them their biggest lead of the night, 11 points, late in the period. The quarter ended 37-29 in their favour.

Golden State answered with a 10-0 run, from 26-37 to 36-37, spanning the first two quarters. The Warriors then moved in front, 42-41 midway through the period, and won the second quarter 34-20 to go into the locker room six points ahead, 63-57.

Third quarter confirms the advantage

After the break, the Warriors went on a 9-0 run, from 68-63 to 77-63, stretching the lead to 14 points. The Clippers hit back with a 7-0 run that cut the score from 85-70 to 85-77. The scoreboard read 92-85 to Golden State at the end of the period, the Warriors having won the third quarter 29-28.

The 14-0 run that widens the gap

In the final quarter, Golden State produced a 14-0 run, from 100-92 to 114-92: a 22-point gap, the biggest of the game. The Clippers responded with a 13-0 run, from 118-97 to 118-110, and closed to within eight points. The final score stayed with Golden State, 124-112. The lead changed hands seven times.

Key performers

Yaxel Lendeborg carried Golden State with 37 points, 13 of 19 from the field, 6 three-pointers and 6 assists. No Warriors rookie had scored as many since Curry's 42 points in April 2010.

De'Anthony Melton added 21 points, going 6 of 8 from three, with 6 rebounds and a plus-minus of +20. Brandin Podziemski finished with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Brandon Williams, off the bench, scored 17 points on 7 of 11 shooting, with a plus-minus of +15.

Charles Bassey contributed 6 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists in 20 minutes, without a turnover. Golden State finished with 44 rebounds to the Clippers' 42.

For the Clippers, Rui Hachimura scored 24 points, going 10 of 16 from the field, with 7 rebounds. His plus-minus, however, was -28. Kobe Sanders scored 16 points off the bench, including 4 three-pointers from 6 attempts.

Kris Dunn piled up 7 steals, adding 12 points and 4 assists. Darius Garland finished with 15 points and 7 assists.

Three takeaways

A lead that grew to 22 points. Golden State opened up the gap with two key runs, 9-0 in the third quarter and then 14-0 in the fourth, which took the margin from 5 to 14, then from 8 to 22 points.

A gap built from three-point range. The Warriors made 22 of 49 from three against 14 of 39 for the Clippers, a gap of 24 points in that area alone, in a win by 12 points. They also had 32 assists to 22, and 44 rebounds to 42. Turnovers were close: 15 for Golden State, 14 for the Clippers.

The Clippers are 1-5. With one win in six games, they occupy 13th place in the West in the standings as of 2 November. They won the first quarter 37-29, then lost the next three: 20-34, 28-29 and 27-32. Hachimura finished with 24 points and no assists.

The SNA view

The Clippers were clearly outgunned from the outside: 14 three-pointers for them, 22 for Golden State. In a game lost by 12 points, that gap of 24 points from beyond the arc weighs heavily in how the result is read. Dunn brought plenty of activity in the passing lanes, with 7 steals, but his team still finished -8 when he was on the floor.

On the Golden State side, Lendeborg produced a standout line, but the numbers also show support: Melton at +20, Williams at +15, Podziemski close to a triple-double, and Bassey useful on the boards. At 4-3, the Warriors add a convincing win to their record, without Curry or Green, and with Porzingis, Butler and Moody listed as out.

What next. Golden State host Phoenix on 3 November at 4:00 Brazzaville time. The Clippers welcome Toronto at the same time.
