Lionel Messi is an incredible footballer. Like his great rival Cristiano Ronaldo, the Argentine genius holds several remarkable records in football. At 36 already, though, it is very unlikely that the future Inter Miami player will be able to match Kei Kamara's record. The Sierra Leonean striker is the overseas player who has played the most games in Major League Soccer (MLS). Now at Chicago Fire, the 38-year-old has 405 appearances to his name. He has played for 10 clubs, found the net 143 times in MLS and provided 45 assists.

Kei Kamara, the overseas player with the most appearances in Major League Soccer

The overseas player with the most appearances, Kei Kamara naturally leads the African contingent in Major League Soccer. But the Kenema-born player, from the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone, is not the only African who has really knocked about on American pitches. The latter is a left winger who spent almost his entire career at Chicago Fire. Retired since 2018, he made 236 appearances, scoring 24 goals and providing 42 assists.

Dominique Badji two games shy of 200
