Reigning two-time African Ballon d'Or winner Sadio Mané left Liverpool last year to join Bayern, where he effectively doubled his salary. The 2021 African champion signed a three-year contract worth 24 million euros a year, which put him at the top of the highest-paid players in Germany and in Europe.

A year later, and after just one underwhelming season, Sadio Mané has hit the jackpot again. The former Génération Foot player has just joined wealthy Saudi club Al Nassr, and he has naturally increased his earnings substantially. The Yellows will pay him 768,864 euros a week, or 40 million euros a year. And that is not all: depending on his number of appearances, Al Nassr's new number 10 could pocket up to 10 million euros a year more. He is currently the highest-paid African footballer.
