As they do on every away trip, Africa Sports of Abidjan attracted a huge crowd to Tiebissou in the centre of the country for their matchday 21 game in Ligue 2. On Saturday 15 April 2023, the Aiglons beat Espérance de Bouaké by 2 goals to 1. Their scorers were Kouakou Aubin and Abrogoua Louis. Those two goals delighted the Green and Reds, who have now won three games in a row. The result takes them into 2nd place with 36 points, 1 point behind provisional leaders CO Bouaflé (37 points).
Hage Mohamed's players have a game in hand. A win in that postponed fixture would therefore put them in a strong position to take the lead in Group A. "We warmly congratulate the whole team on this wonderful victory. Promotion is loading, dear dedicated associate members," the club officials wrote after the game on the club's social media channels.
