Mohamed Salah continues to add to his personal legend at Liverpool. The Egyptian Reds star shone again against Wolverhampton (2-2) on Saturday 7 January in the FA Cup. He put his side ahead after a superb first touch and finish (2-1, 52nd minute), his 17th goal of the season in all competitions. Just before the break (45th), Darwin Nunez had equalised after Gonçalo Guedes opened the scoring for the Wolves (26th).

With this latest goal, Mo Salah overtakes Sir Kenny Dalglish in the top 7 of Liverpool's all-time leading scorers. The Egyptian forward, who has played 280 games in all competitions for the Reds, now has 173 goals. Dalglish needed 515 games to reach 172 goals, 235 more matches than Mohamed Salah.
Dalglish, the 71-year-old former Scotland international, sent Salah a special message on social media. "A fantastic achievement for Mo Salah and great to be in the stands to see it go in… Happy to pass on the baton and I hope it brings even more success!" he posted.
