The Pharaoh Mohamed Salah rules at Liverpool. On Saturday 09 December, the Egyptian scored again in the Reds' win at Crystal Palace. It was far from an ordinary goal, as it first puts Liverpool top of the Premier League ahead of Arsenal, who lost 1-0 at Aston Villa. It also takes the Egyptian to 200 goals for the Anfield club in 327 games. He ranks 3rd on the list of the club's all-time top scorers behind Roger Hunt (2nd, 260 goals) and Ian Rush (1st, 336 goals). However, in terms of strike rate, the left-footer is ahead, averaging 0.61 per game, while his two predecessors are on 0.52 goals per game (Rush) and 0.59 (Hunt). Even so, the number 11 did not want to hog the limelight after the win at Palace. "The most important thing is that we won the game. When we win and I score, it's a great feeling. I'm happy with my goal and with the victory."
In addition, Mohamed Salah has now scored 150 Premier League goals. The 31-year-old is the 10th highest scorer in the competition's history. By the end of the season, he could also overtake another Liverpool legend, Robbie Fowler (9th, 162 goals), and Jermain Defoe (8th, 163 goals).

Jurgen Klopp wild about Salah
While Mohamed Salah is admired from afar by observers, Jürgen Klopp has had the good fortune to work alongside him every day since 2017. The German manager took the opportunity to praise the work of his star man. "You can't score 200 goals if you only score in your best games of football. Staying in the game and always being a threat is what makes those numbers. We had the shirt with '200' on it in the dressing room with us for two weeks, but we gave it to him today. Very loud applause from the lads."
It is also worth noting that Mohamed Salah has finished as the Premier League's top scorer three times: in 2018 (32 goals), in 2019 (22 goals) and in 2022 (23 goals), and has won, among other honours, the league title (2020), the Champions League (2019), the UEFA Super Cup, the Club World Cup and the League Cup. A LEGEND, in capital letters.
