NBA fans are now used to watching Pascal Siakam and Joel Embiid go head to head on court. Few non-American nations can boast two leaders of that calibre in the American league. Last night, the two Cameroonians met once again. It was the Philadelphia franchise that came away with the win, its 17th in 29 games. But it was Pascal Siakam who put in the best performance of the night.

Toronto's power forward did everything he could to lead his team-mates to victory. He scored 16 points in the 3rd quarter and finished the game with 38. On top of that, he added 15 rebounds and 6 assists. His usual lieutenants Fred Vlanveet (9 pts) and OG Anunoby (13 pts) did not back him up well, however. The opposite was true for Joel Embiid. Somewhat off target despite his 28 points (6/16 from the field), he could count on Thobias Harris on fire from beyond the arc (21 pts, 5/7 from three-point range) and James Harden pulling the strings (14 pts, 8 assists).
In the Eastern Conference standings, the Sixers are fifth with 17 wins and 12 defeats. And the Raptors, who have a losing record (13W, 18L), sit 10th.
