The tops
Edin Dzeko
He was unplayable in this Champions League semi-final. Edin Dzeko hurt the AC Milan defence. His first goal (8th minute), which set his team-mates up perfectly, was struck with real authority. With a rating of 7.9, he earned the highest score of the match.
Calhanoglu
Amid AC Milan's collective collapse in this Champions League semi-final, Calhanoglu was also one of the players who gave the opposition a torrid time in midfield. With a rating of 7.3, Calhanoglu did everything right. He also provided the assist for Dzeko's goal.
Lautaro Martinez
Often sloppy in his decision-making on the edge of the box, Lautaro Martinez applied himself superbly in this Champions League semi-final. The Argentine striker did not score, admittedly, but he was valuable in the press. His rating of 7.5 bears that out.
The flops
Krunic
He barely made an impact against Inter's tireless midfield. Krunic got a rating of 6.2, the second-lowest mark of any Milan player in this semi-final of the Champions League. He was even booked in the 45+1 minute for unsporting behaviour.
Simon Kjaer
Paired with Tomori in central defence, Simon Kjaer endured a difficult Champions League night. Often struggling, the Dane had lost his defensive bite. His rating of 6.1, the lowest of the whole match, bears that out.
Théo Hernandez
The France international also did not enjoy a quiet Champions League night against Inter Milan. Lined up at left-back, he was often given a hard time by Lautaro Martinez on his flank. He was rated 6.5.
